Terms of Service - AI Coloring Studio

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the AI Coloring Studio mobile application (iOS and Android) and the online studio at app.aicoloring.studio (together, the "Service"), operated by AI Coloring Studio ("we", "our", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

AI Coloring Studio is a digital coloring book and drawing application designed for children and families. The Service provides:

Drawing and coloring tools, including classic, magical, and neon brush sets, palettes, stickers, and effects
200+ ready-made coloring page templates organized by themed collections
Local saves and exports of finished drawings
AI-powered features in the mobile apps: generating a coloring page from a voice idea or a built-in suggestion, turning a photo into line art, and Smart Colorize

The online studio at app.aicoloring.studio is available on the web for drawing, templates, stickers, exports, and local saves. AI generation features are available only in the iOS and Android apps.

2. Free Tier

The Service is free to use without an account. The free tier includes:

All drawing tools, brushes, palettes, stickers, themes, templates, exports, and unlimited local saves
In the mobile apps: a starter grant of 10 AI generations and one additional free generation per day, up to a running maximum of 20 unused free generations
The voice or suggestion-based generation flow that turns a kid's idea into a coloring page

Smart Colorize and Photo to Line Art are paid features and are not included in the free tier.

3. Subscriptions and Credit Packs

Paid plans and credit packs are available only inside the iOS and Android apps. Pricing is shown in the app and may vary by region.

Subscription plans: Lite, Plus, and Family. Each plan grants a monthly allowance of AI credits and unlocks Smart Colorize and Photo to Line Art. Plans can be billed monthly or yearly; the yearly option offers a discount that is shown before purchase.
Credit packs: One-time, non-subscription packs (50, 130, or 300 credits) that top up your credit balance and do not expire while the Service is operating.
Credit consumption: Each AI action deducts a fixed number of credits — turning a voice idea into a coloring page costs 1 credit, while Smart Colorize and Photo to Line Art each cost 2 credits. The current cost of each feature is shown in the app before generation. We may adjust credit costs as the Service evolves; § 7 below reserves this right.
Auto-renewal: Subscription plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
Refunds: All refunds are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play according to their respective refund policies.
Payment processing: All purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat to receive purchase events from those stores and to keep your subscription state in sync. We do not collect or store your payment card details.
Free tier interaction: While a paid plan is active, AI generations are deducted from your credit balance. Free tier counters resume if a subscription expires or is cancelled.

4. Account and Anonymous Identifier

The Service signs you in anonymously on first launch using Firebase Authentication. A randomly generated user ID (UID) is created and used to keep your subscription state and free generation counters in sync. You are not required to create a personal account, provide an email, or share contact information. You are responsible for safeguarding the device on which the Service is installed.

5. Age Requirements and Parental Consent

The Service is designed for users of all ages, including children.
Children under the minimum age in their jurisdiction (13 in the United States, 16 in many EU member states) should use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
Parents and guardians are responsible for purchasing subscriptions and credit packs, supervising AI use, and applying device-level screen time controls when needed.

6. User Content

You retain all ownership rights to drawings, artwork, and other creations you make using the Service ("User Content"). User Content is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers. We do not claim ownership over your User Content.

7. AI Content Generation

AI generation is subject to the limits of your free tier or paid plan.
Voice ideas, built-in suggestions, and photos submitted to AI features are screened for inappropriate, violent, or adult content before they reach our AI providers. Requests that fail the safety filter are rejected.
AI providers (fal.ai for the primary model, Google Vertex AI / Gemini for prompt processing and fallback) apply their own safety safeguards.
AI-generated images are provided "as is" and may not always match expectations. You may use AI-generated coloring pages produced through the Service for your personal, non-commercial enjoyment within the app.
We may modify content filters, AI providers, model choices, and credit costs at any time as the Service evolves.

8. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

Attempt to bypass AI content filters, safety measures, or free tier limits
Use the Service to generate harmful, illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate content
Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Service
Use the Service in a way that violates applicable laws, infringes the rights of others, or interferes with the operation of the Service
Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service or its AI features

9. Modifications to the Service

We may add, remove, or modify features, plans, pricing, AI providers, models, and content filters from time to time. We will give reasonable notice for material changes that affect existing paid subscriptions.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app or by no longer visiting the online studio. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that endangers other users or the Service itself. Termination does not entitle you to a refund beyond what Apple or Google policies provide.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific AI output will meet your expectations.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any direct damages relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us through Apple App Store or Google Play in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the liability.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable consumer protection laws in your country of residence and, to the extent permitted, by the laws governing the operation of AI Coloring Studio. Disputes that cannot be resolved through support contact should be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in your country of residence.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms. We will indicate changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
